    Dying Well (Ecclesiastes 12:1-8)
In this penultimate message in Ecclesiastes, we are at the other end of the spectrum from last week. At the end of chapter 11 we heard about the hope and inspiration that young people have to live for the Lord and pursue His glory. The Teacher offers a sobering warning this week that aging and death will soon take away their youth. Just as we are called to not waste our lives, this week we learn that we shouldn't waste our death either.

    Trust God (Philippians 4:10-20)
We jump to our companion study in Philippians this week to follow up our message on taking faith-filled risks. We learn this week that God will supply our needs so that we can endure all things through Christ. So regardless of the outcome of your risk (be it success or "failure") you can find that Jesus is enough for you. This becomes a motivation for us to take risks for the glory of Christ.

    Live Life (Ecclesiastes 9:1-10)
We return to our study in Ecclesiastes entering into the final destination. In this section of the book the Teacher offers practical points to help you arrive safely at the end of the quest. Practical Point #1 is simply to enjoy this life God has given us. Too often we allow ourselves to grumble, whine and complain about the good and the bad in our lives. The Teacher says life is too short for that. Instead enjoy life as the gift it is and do everything you do with all of your strength.

    A Theology of Suffering
In this week's study of Ecclesiastes we also get an overview from Philippians to develop a theology of suffering that helps us see our pain and trials from God's perspective, which is the only perspective that actually corresponds to realty. In this message we identify five truths to transform your perspective on your suffering.

    Follow the Clues
We move onto the third truth in this section of Ecclesiastes and learn that wickedness and sin exist in this world. This morning we use that truth as a clue that God must exist and He will deal with the injustice of this world in His time.
