What Can I Do?

Jesus told His followers to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Community Alliance Church is our mission to serve our God and to serve our neighbors. That service begins in our own community and spreads overseas to every nation. Here are some of our exciting ministry opportunities available at Community Alliance where you can get equipped to go and serve.

 Sunday Services:

Join us Sunday mornings for a time of worship, fellowship and learning. All of our activities are designed to get the family involved and for everyone to grow in their faith, hope, and love (1 Corinthians 13:13).

No Sunday School during the summer. Instead we have time of fellowship at 9:30 which features coffee and conversations designed to encourage and refresh.

→ Sunday Worship = Corporate worship of God is one of the greatest moments of the week. Worship at Community Alliance would be considered a blended service using both traditional hymns and contemporary songs. The preaching of the Word is central to the service seeking to instruct us in God’s truth so that we may know more of God and His grace while applying those truths to our lives and culture. We incorporate various elements of worship into our service including prayer, tithing, fellowship, singing, and preaching. Worship begins at 10:30.

→ Nursery = Although our service is geared for the whole family our fully staffed nursery is available for children ages 3 months – 5 years. A nursing mother’s room is available next to the sanctuary.
→ Children’s Church = Community Alliance offers a special Children’s Church for our younger family members. This hands on and age appropriate worship time is for children in Kindergarten through fourth grade and includes worship and activities to help them grow in their faith and love for God and for others. Children’s church takes place during the sermon time on Sunday mornings in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. Parents can pick up their children after the service is over.

Awana & Trek — Wednesday Night Children’s Ministry (6:30-7:45) — From September thru April

AWANA:  Join us on Wednesday nights for our exciting children’s programs. Community Alliance offers Awana Clubs for children ages 3 – grades 5. Awana is an international program of Scripture memory encouraging our young people to keep God’s Word in their hearts. During club time there are games, small groups, and large group Bible study. A large team of volunteers are AwanaClubsLogo_RGB_largededicated to keeping our young people safe and engaged in God’s Word.

TREK: Also on Wednesday nights is our unique Trek Outreach geared for teens in grades 6 – 9. There are fun games, entertaining skits and plenty of opportunity to connect with others while learning God’s unchanging truth and applying it to our ever changing world.

Small Group Ministries

There are many ways to grow in faith. Besides our corporate worship times on Sunday, Community Alliance provides smaller more personal environments to grow and be challenged in your faith. Besides special small groups that meet through the year, there are two groups that are the cornerstone to our ministry–Men’s Group and Women’s Group.

Life Groups: Want to go deeper in the Word? Then consider joining one of our Life Groups. These small groups gather to apply God’s Word from Sunday’s sermon and explore related Bible texts to gain a fuller understanding of the Word. Groups are limited in size.

Men’s Bible Study:  This is a small group for men interested in knowing God’s Word and applying it to their lives, families and work. The men meet throughout the year for special events and studies.

Women’s Group:  In order to try an accommodate the busy schedules of moms and grandmothers, Women’s Group usually meets the third Sunday of the month for a soup and salad lunch that includes a  Bible study and craft time. Make arrangements to join us next time and build important relationships in the church family while deepening your own relationship with Jesus Christ.

Youth Group: Knight Life — Experience the Knight Life (Grades 8 – 12)

Vital to the life of our church family is our ministry to the youth. At Community Alliance we seek to prayerfully build up our teens to know Christ and to stand firm in their faith. In an age that denies truth we strive to help the teens know the truth and to live it. The youth meet Sunday evenings at 421 Main Stree (Community Cup) 6:00-7:30. We participate in a community wide youth group that seeks to reach unchurched teens with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Special events happen monthly.
